Mid Devon is pretty, rural and agricultural. It is an area characterized by rolling hills, scattered farms and ancient villages strung together by narrow lanes hollowed between tall hedges. Mid Devon is red earth, thatch and cob, the local mud and straw material from which its old cottages are made. Wyke Farm is in the countryside, tucked into the lee of the hill and surrounded by its own land.
